South West Florida Horse Rescue, founded in 2010 by Tina Garrett and Matt Venaleck, is dedicated to rehabilitating abandoned and neglected horses in Southwest Florida. To sustain their efforts, the rescue organizes various fundraisers, including charity golf tournaments, quarter auctions, chili cook-offs, and wine tastings, raising significant funds to cover the substantial costs of horse care. Volunteers play a crucial role, with orientation and shadowing programs ensuring they are well-prepared to contribute.
