The South Congaree Championship rodeo returned to West Columbia for a weekend filled with traditional rodeo events such as saddle and bareback horse riding, bull riding, steer wrestling, and barrel racing. Held at the South Congaree arena, the event also featured food vendors, a mechanical bull, and opportunities for attendees to meet the riders and animals, drawing fans of all ages, including young first-time visitors.

Entertainment between events was provided by rodeo clown Houston “Big Daddy” Stuart, who kept the crowd laughing and energized throughout the night. Now in his 12th season, Stuart emphasized his goal of ensuring everyone has a fun and memorable experience. The rodeo continues through the weekend, celebrating rodeo tradition while fostering community spirit and family fun.
