Chaze Harris led the Jaguars with 19 points, six rebounds, and two steals, while Peyton Law contributed 18 points and six rebounds. Jayden Cooper added 13 points despite a challenging shooting night from beyond the arc. South Alabama overcame a halftime deficit, with Harris scoring 15 points in the second half to help seal the win.
Jacksonville State was led by Anthony Bryant, who scored 24 points and grabbed eight rebounds. However, Mostapha El Moutaouakkil, the nation’s top scorer entering the game with an average of 26.7 points per game, struggled, finishing with nine points on 4-of-11 shooting and missing all three of his three-point attempts.
