At just 23, Sophie Taylor has transitioned from a successful pony dressage career to making a significant impact in senior ranks, notably through her long-term partnership with the Everdale x Havidoff gelding, Jerrydale (“Jerry”). Having produced Jerry from a four-year-old through every competitive level herself, Sophie highlights their journey as the longest and most formative of her career, marked by steady progress and resilience, especially after a challenging break due to building new facilities. With Jerry now 11 and showing readiness for grand prix work, Sophie is optimistic about their future together.

Alongside Jerry, Sophie is developing a promising six-year-old gelding, Passion, aiming to apply the lessons learned from her experience with Jerry. Supported by trainer Isobel Wessels, Sophie balances her ambitions with a grounded approach, focusing on growth and confidence-building. Her careful, patient methodology and dedication have earned her recognition and set a strong foundation for her evolving dressage career.
