Sir Caramello Old Finds New Friendship and Freedom After Olympic Retirement

Sir Caramello Old, the 18-year-old Olympian horse retired by Indian equestrian Anush Agarwalla after the Paris Olympics, has begun a new, relaxed chapter in life alongside fellow retired gelding Flovinos Feinr Kerl. Freed from the demands of competitive training, Sir Caramello now enjoys long days in the field, forming a close bond with Flovinos, while Anush continues to care for him with regular visits. Anush fondly recalls their special connection, especially their journey to Olympic qualification and their memorable performance in Paris.

As Anush moves forward with younger horses like Etro and prepares for upcoming competitions including the Asian Games and World Championship, he reflects on the legacy of Sir Caramello, who brought him team gold and individual bronze in the past. Despite retirement, Sir Caramello remains close by and well cared for, receiving treats and affection from Anush, symbolizing the enduring bond between rider and horse beyond the competitive arena.
