Simply in Front Shines with Fast Work at Churchill Downs Following Graded-Stakes Victory

Simply in Front, a 4-year-old filly trained by Eddie Kenneally, recently achieved her first graded-stakes victory by winning the Grade 2 Churchill Distaff Turf Mile at Churchill Downs. After a successful stretch duel at 15-1 odds, she breezed four furlongs in 1:02.4, the fastest time among four at that distance, as she prepares for her next race. This win marked her return to the track after finishing seventh in the Mrs. Revere (G2) last November.

On the same day, several other graded-stakes winners also completed workouts, including Book’em Danno, who clocked five furlongs in 59.0 seconds at Monmouth Park, and Emmanuel, who worked four furlongs in 48.4 seconds at Turfway Park. Each horse is gearing up for upcoming races, with notable performances in their previous outings, such as Book’em Danno’s fourth-place finish in the Churchill Downs (G1).

Additional horses like Coal Battle, Fiona’s Magic, and Gun Song also participated in workouts, showcasing their readiness for future competitions. With a mix of recent performances and training sessions, these graded-stakes winners are set to make significant impacts in their upcoming races.
