The Silver Valley 4H Riders Club began their season with a trail ride at MSW Farms in September, accompanied by a potluck and awards ceremony. Despite a pause in December due to an equine virus, the club has maintained monthly meetings and bi-monthly rides at Calnash. Members engaged in community activities such as scooping ice cream at Rimoka and stocking stockings for seniors, alongside a successful perogy fundraiser. They are also preparing for a public speaking event scheduled for February 8 at the Moose Hall.
The club expressed deep gratitude to their coaches and leaders for their dedication and support in skill development. Looking ahead, members are eagerly anticipating the regional horse show at the Westerner in Red Deer on May 30-31, where they will showcase their progress. The event is open to the public, inviting community support and attendance.
