Shuswap 4H Club Celebrates a Successful Year and Looks Ahead to an Activity-Packed Summer

The Shuswap 4H Club had a successful 2024, highlighted by a year-end banquet where members Chelsey Simmons, David Simmons, and Emma Muddiman received District and Provincial scholarships. With nearly 40 members engaged in diverse projects such as Dog, Horse, Beef, Sheep, Goat, Rabbit, Photography, Fibre Arts, Outdoor Living, and Cloverbud, the club elected a new executive team in February to lead upcoming activities. Throughout the year, members participated in various events including weekly training sessions, field days, and a large Achievement Day gathering showcasing their skills across all projects.

Looking ahead to 2025, the club is gearing up for a busy summer filled with outdoor meetings, competitions, and community events like the Salmon Arm Fair and parade. Members have excelled in 4H Communications and are preparing for the District Judging Rally and fall fairs. The club continues to foster skill-building and community involvement, supported by dedicated parents, leaders, judges, and assessors.
