Shuswap 4H Club Celebrates a Successful Year and Looks Ahead to an Activity-Packed 2025

The Shuswap 4H Club had a successful 2024, highlighted by a year-end banquet where members Chelsey Simmons, David Simmons, and Emma Muddiman received District and Provincial scholarships. With nearly 40 members engaged in diverse projects such as Dog, Horse, Beef, Sheep, Goat, Rabbit, Photography, Fibre Arts, Outdoor Living, and Cloverbud, the club elected a new executive team in February to lead the upcoming year. Throughout the year, members participated in various activities including weekly training sessions, field days, and Achievement Day, showcasing their skills across all projects.

A major highlight was the 4H Communications event, where Shuswap members excelled at multiple competition levels. The club also hosted a judging practice and cookout to prepare for upcoming events like the District Judging Rally and local fairs. Looking ahead, the club anticipates a busy summer filled with outdoor learning, meetings, and participation in the Salmon Arm Fair and parade.
