Shenae Lowings and Bold Venture Win Third CCI4*S Title at Tamworth International Eventing

Shenae Lowings and her off-the-track Thoroughbred Bold Venture have solidified their dominance in Australian eventing by winning the CCI4*S at the Tamworth International Eventing for the third time, having previously won in 2022 and 2025. The experienced pair, who represented Australia at the 2022 FEI World Championships and contributed to the 2024 Paris Olympics team, delivered an impressive performance with a dressage score of 22.6 and minimal cross-country time faults, finishing on 25.4. Bold Venture, a 15-year-old gelding purchased for $1000 in 2016, continues to impress well beyond his modest racing beginnings.

Finishing second was Lowings’ fiancé, Sam Woods, riding SS Eight Count, who posted a time of 33.6 after a fast cross-country round that moved them up from fifth place. Jess Somerfield and APH New Sensation took third with 35.4, followed by Andrew Cooper in fourth and fifth with Sharvalley Thunder and Ocean Eight, respectively. The event highlighted the strength and depth of the Australian eventing scene, with top riders delivering strong performances across all phases.
