Seven-year-old Bunny-Mae was honored for her bravery and resilience after a serious horse riding accident in July, where she fractured her femur and required two pins in her thigh. Despite the severity of her injury and spending six weeks in a wheelchair, Bunny-Mae remained remarkably calm and composed, impressing emergency responders from the East of England Ambulance Service and Suffolk Accident Rescue Service, who awarded her a bravery certificate.
Now recovered and back to horse riding, Bunny-Mae continues to pursue her dream of becoming a barrel racer. Her mother praised her positivity and determination throughout her recovery, and the pins in her leg are scheduled for removal next summer, marking another step in her ongoing journey to full recovery.
