Seven-year-old Bunny-Mae was honored for her bravery and resilience after a serious horse-riding accident in July, where she fractured her femur and required surgery involving two pins in her thigh. Despite the severity of her injury and six weeks spent in a wheelchair, Bunny-Mae remained remarkably calm and composed, impressing emergency responders from the East of England Ambulance Service and Suffolk Accident Rescue Service, who awarded her a bravery certificate.
Following her recovery, Bunny-Mae has returned to horse riding and is pursuing her dream of becoming a barrel racer. Her mother praised her positivity and determination throughout the ordeal, and Bunny-Mae is expected to have the pins removed next summer, continuing her journey with strong family support.
