The FEI dressage World Cup Final horse inspection took place on Tuesday afternoon in Fort Worth, Texas, with competitors gearing up for the competition starting Thursday. Serena Ireland and her Australian-bred horse Royalty R arrived at Dickies arena on Monday and have been training and familiarizing themselves with the venue. Following the inspection, riders had additional sessions to acclimate, with the official draw scheduled for Wednesday evening.
Serena Ireland has developed a strong partnership with her 14-year-old gelding Royalty R, whom she has trained from Novice to Grand Prix level. This deep connection is seen as a key advantage amid the challenges of travel and new environments, especially after their 34-hour journey from Australia to the USA. Their story and preparation journey are highlighted in a feature article in Equestrian Life magazine.
