Volunteers were honored for their long-term commitment, with some recognized for up to 40 years of service. Dilys Lindsay, the organization’s secretary and a volunteer for 26 years, shared her transformative experience, emphasizing the profound impact horses have on individuals with communication challenges and various conditions.
RDA Ireland operates 30 groups across the country, with nearly 400 volunteers providing riding and carriage driving sessions to over 380 children and adults with disabilities. The organization highlights the positive effects of horse riding, including improved mood, balance, and sleep for participants, showcasing the unique bond between horses and individuals with additional needs.
