Saudi Ministers Inaugurate Fellowship of Moderation and Fairness Program for Scholarship Students

The Fellowship of Moderation and Fairness program for scholarship students in Saudi Arabia was recently inaugurated by Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs Sheikh Abdullatif Al-Asheikh and Minister of Education Yousef Al-Benyan. The program, supervised by both ministries, Saudi universities, and donor institutions, aims to train international students as ambassadors of moderation within their communities.

The program, launched at the Ministry of Islamic Affairs headquarters in Riyadh, reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to serving Islam and Muslims, promoting moderation based on solid principles and authentic traditions. It combines scientific methodology with practical applications to foster cognitive and leadership excellence among select students at Saudi universities.

President of King Abdulaziz University Tareef Al-Alaama noted that the fellowship, supported by the Endowment of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz for His Parents, attracted significant interest with 60 students from 40 countries selected after a thorough nomination process. The program also received financial support from various organizations, highlighting its role in promoting moderation and combating extremism in line with Saudi leadership directives.
