The Sarein Horse Show Festival, an annual equestrian event in Ardabil province, has been officially registered on Iran’s National Tourism Calendar. This recognition, issued by the Deputy Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts, aims to professionalize the festival and promote new tourism routes. Scheduled for June 19-20 each year, the festival attracts horse riders from various provinces, contributing to the local tourism industry and potentially boosting the horse breeding sector.
Sarein, located near the Sabalan Mountain, is a well-known tourist destination in Iran, famous for its mineral springs, beautiful landscapes, and improved tourism infrastructure, including new hotels and recreational facilities. The establishment of a “tourism chain” in surrounding villages aims to enhance local economies by generating income for residents.
