Sarah Higgins and Geniaal Dominate 2025 LeMieux National Dressage Championships with Multiple Titles

Sarah Higgins and her 14-year-old gelding Geniaal dominated the 2025 LeMieux National dressage Championships, winning the Saracen Horse Feeds inter I gold with a score of 74.27%, and later securing the Fairfax Saddles prix st georges (PSG) freestyle and PSG supreme championship titles. Geniaal, now a five-time national champion, impressed with exceptional self-carriage and precise changes, despite a challenging warm-up due to rain and crowd noise. Higgins praised the horse’s professionalism and expressed gratitude to the owner, Sarah Rao, while looking forward to competing at the Asian Championships in Thailand and developing younger horses.

Meanwhile, Gijs Van Vooren claimed the Fairfax Saddles PSG silver title on Hawtins Quattro with 70.62%, marking a personal milestone as the first horse he has trained to this level. After a disappointing regional performance, Van Vooren focused on staying present during the competition, resulting in a confident and rewarding ride. He credited breeder Judith Davis and reflected on the satisfaction of training Quattro himself, with plans to advance to inter II level in the future.
