Robert R. Brown II, a seventh-generation farmer and respected community leader from Waterport, NY, passed away on November 23, 2025, at the age of 70. Born in Albion, NY, Brown was a Cornell University graduate who dedicated his life to agriculture, managing Orchard Dale Fruit Farms, Brown’s Berry Patch, and co-founding Lake Ridge Fruit Company. He was deeply involved in numerous agricultural and community organizations, including the Orleans Cornell Cooperative Extension, New York Apple Association, and the Albion Rotary Club, reflecting his commitment to farming and local service.
Brown is survived by his wife Deborah, two children, grandchildren, his mother, and siblings. A Mass in his honor will be held on December 13 at Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph’s Church in Albion, followed by a celebration of life. Memorial contributions can be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research or Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph’s Church. Arrangements are managed by Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home.
