Harrison Taylor, a 24-year-old showing producer from Lancashire, has had a breakthrough season marked by major wins including his first Royal Windsor title, overall champion at the Royal International Horse Show, and success at the Dublin Horse Show and Horse of the Year Show (HOYS). Based at his own yard in Kearsley, Harrison has quickly risen from pony and native ranks to become a top contender in horse classes, notably with his mare Cranbornes Sirius, who won small hack of the year and intermediate show riding type at HOYS. His training philosophy emphasizes patience, simplicity, and keeping horses fresh and happy, supported by a strong team including his mother Nicola.
Harrison’s journey began in showjumping before transitioning to showing, gaining experience with professional teams and building a loyal client base, including breeder Kerry Wainwright. He has produced numerous top ponies and horses, balancing a busy show schedule with developing youngstock and maintaining a well-equipped yard. Looking ahead, Harrison aims to continue producing quality horses and aspires to win a HOYS supreme title, inspired by leading producer Rob Walker. Despite the pressures of competition, he finds joy in the daily training and breakthroughs with horses he has produced himself.
