Pickle, a tiny foal rescued last year by World Horse Welfare during a multi-agency operation, was found in critical condition suffering from serious illnesses including strangles, equine flu, and salmonella. He was so weak he repeatedly collapsed and struggled to breathe, but after urgent veterinary care and treatment, Pickle gradually recovered and was moved to the charity’s Penny Farm Rescue and Rehoming Centre near Blackpool.
Now thriving at Penny Farm, Pickle has become a favorite among visitors due to his small size and charming personality. Although there is interest in rehoming him, Pickle will remain at the center for the foreseeable future to continue growing and enjoying a normal young pony life, catching up on the fun he missed while ill.
