Remembering the Legacy of Stephen Brunetti: Red Oak Stable Dispersal at Fasig-Tipton Kentucky Winter Mixed Sale

The legacy of late owner/breeder Stephen Brunetti, who passed away in 2024 after battling cancer, will be showcased at the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky Winter Mixed Sale with the sale of his homebred grade 1 winner Unbridled Mo and her yearling colt by Curlin. Stephen’s passion for breeding and racing is evident in the horses he produced, including the grade 1 winner Mind Control.

The Red Oak stable dispersal at the sale includes Unbridled Mo, a 12-year-old mare who won the 2018 Apple Blossom Handicap and has had three foals, as well as her yearling colt by Curlin, who has been described as an exceptional horse. The dispersal also features a yearling Munnings filly and two broodmares, offering a variety of bloodlines for potential buyers.

Fasig-Tipton president Boyd Browning Jr. praised the quality of the horses in the dispersal, particularly highlighting the yearling Curlin colt as a top prospect. The Red Oak racing stable has also seen success in 2025 with a victory by Prince Valiant, and the breeding prospects of Mind Control, a three-time grade 1 winner now standing at stud in New York, are generating excitement among breeders.
