Cheryl Jane Harms of Bridgeport, NE, passed away on January 3, 2026, at age 77, leaving behind a legacy of love, family, and community service. Born in Alliance, NE, Cheryl was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, and volunteer who cherished her roles in family life and 4-H horse activities. She earned a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Nebraska, married Edwin Harms, and dedicated much of her life to teaching, gardening, church service, and raising her children in rural Bridgeport.

A celebration of Cheryl’s life will be held on January 9, 2026, at First Presbyterian Church in Bridgeport, with services led by Rev. Jonathan Berosek. She is survived by her husband Edwin, children Eric and Kayla, grandchildren, siblings, and many extended family and friends. Cheryl’s warmth, generosity, and devotion to family and community will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
