Red Bend Catholic Students Shine at North West Equestrian Expo

Six students from Red Bend Catholic College participated in the North West Equestrian Expo in Coonabarabran, joining 400 to 600 students from over 100 schools in a five-day high school Interschool event featuring diverse competitions such as eventing, showjumping, dressage, and team sporting events. The students performed well, with Tommie Parker earning reserve champion for the 14-year-old boys overall point scorer and excelling in multiple showjumping and eventing categories. Samantha and Sarah Noakes also achieved notable placements in hacking and dressage events, while other students like Mackenzie Martin, Josie Brown, Chloe Magill, and Amelia McRae earned commendable results in various disciplines.

Red Bend teacher Ms. Rebecca Lynch praised the students for their sportsmanship and talent, highlighting the positive engagement among schools throughout the event. She noted that the experience was especially rewarding as many students competed for the first time, and the team events showcased strong camaraderie and competitive spirit. Overall, the expo provided a valuable opportunity for students to demonstrate their equestrian skills and foster community connections.
