A member of PETA India commented on the tragic accident, stating that motorists had tried to warn the rider to slow down on the busy road, but he did not listen. The accused is in his early 20s and is facing charges under various sections of the law, including the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1964. PETA India is actively following up on the case with the police.
