Rare Flea-Bitten Horse Named Koda Stolen From Broome County, New York

A rare horse named Koda, with special dietary needs, was stolen from a fenced property on Struble Road in the town of Union, Broome County, New York, between late July 23 and early July 24. Koda is a flea-bitten grey gelding marked with two distinctive brands: a Roman letter ā€œLā€ on his front left shoulder and an arrow-like symbol on his rear left flank. New York State Police from Troop C at Endwell have released photos and are urgently seeking public assistance to locate the fragile animal.

Koda’s owners are deeply concerned due to his dietary restrictions, emphasizing the horse’s vulnerability if not properly cared for. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact the New York State Police at (607) 561-7400, referencing case NY2500671337. The police caution that the thief may not understand the horse’s fragility, making a swift recovery critical.
