Racing Incident Report: Performance Issues and Stewards’ Actions

The Racing Incident Report details several key events and concerns from the race. Horses MAGIC COSMOS, WISEMAN, and BRILLIANT FIRE all delivered unacceptable performances, finishing tailed out, and must pass consecutive barrier trials and veterinary examinations before racing again. Notable incidents include BRILLIANT FIRE shifting in and causing SPEEDY TRIDENT to be steadied, which in turn hampered SMART BEAUTY, FAMILY FORTUNE, and PERFECT PEACH; H Bentley, the jockey of BRILLIANT FIRE, was reprimanded for this. Additionally, horses ATOMIC BEAUTY, PHANTOM CYCLONE, MEEPMEEP, and GO GO GO were sent for post-race sampling.

Several horses experienced race interference or difficulties: SPEEDY TRIDENT was steadied to avoid BRILLIANT FIRE, PERFECT PEACH was taken wider and steadied, and FAMILY FORTUNE and SMART BEAUTY were hampered approaching the 1500 meters. Some horses, such as WISEMAN and ALL EYES ON ME, showed concerns with their action or jumping, with ALL EYES ON ME making contact with ATOMIC BEAUTY at the start. Despite these incidents, veterinary inspections found no significant issues immediately following the race for most horses.
