In a recent racing incident report, several horses were involved in various incidents during the race. Smashing Express, Super Baby, Party Warrior, Confringo, Mr Good Vibes, You’remyeverything, Podium, Mr Aladdin, Running Ahead, Superb Move, and Red Maverick all faced different challenges during the race. Notable incidents included Super Baby not being suited by the increased pace of the event, You’remyeverything showing a substantial amount of blood in the trachea, and Running Ahead bleeding from both nostrils. These incidents led to post-race actions such as veterinary inspections and barrier trials for the horses involved.
Jockey Z Purton stated that his instructions for Super Baby were to obtain cover, as the horse had been racing out of form in its previous starts. Jockey K H Chan mentioned that You’remyeverything would be better suited by being ridden in a more conservative manner in the early stages. Jockey L Hewitson explained his riding tactics on Running Ahead, stating that his instructions were to ride the horse conservatively, but it raced keenly and had to be shifted out to avoid other horses.
Despite some incidents during the race, the Stewards were satisfied that the riding of the jockeys did not affect the finishing positions of the horses involved. However, reminders were given to ensure that jockeys fully ride their mounts out to the finish of the race. Post-race actions were taken for several horses, including veterinary examinations and barrier trials, to ensure their fitness to race again in the future.
