Rachel Proudley and Easy Boy De Laubry Z Win Puissance at London Horse Show with Record 2.21m Jump

Rachel Proudley successfully defended her title in the London Horse Show puissance, clearing a personal and horse-best height of 2.21m (7ft 3in) on Easy Boy De Laubry Z. The 20-year-old British rider praised her horse’s bravery and trustworthiness, noting that the jump felt easy despite being their highest yet. This victory marked their sixth overall puissance win together, showcasing their strong partnership and consistent performance in the event.

The competition featured thirteen starters, narrowing to four for the challenging 2.18m round, which saw some dramatic moments including a fall by Nathan Bull and Casaltonia, who were unpenalised but withdrew from the jump-off for safety. Other riders, like Andrew Hodgins on Shanaclough Luichew, faced difficulties managing their horses’ eagerness and rhythm at such heights. Despite the challenges, Proudley’s composed ride and Easy Boy’s courage secured a memorable win in a demanding and thrilling class.
