The Qatar Racing & Equestrian Club (QREC) will host two major horse shows in November at the Qatar Equestrian Federation’s indoor arena: the 28th Qatar National Arabian Horse Show from November 20-23, featuring 326 Purebred Arabian horses, and the 2nd Al Rayyan National Peninsula Horse Show from November 24-26, with 174 purebred Arabian Peninsula horses. These events highlight Qatar’s leadership in Arabian horse breeding and competition, attracting prominent studs and offering substantial prize money—up to QR45,000 for first place in the Arabian show and QR12,000 in the Peninsula show.
Together, these shows form a key part of QREC’s seasonal calendar, emphasizing the country’s growing interest and success in equestrian sports. The participation of notable studs and members of the Al Thani family underscores the prestige of the events, which collectively showcase around 500 horses competing for top honors and significant financial rewards.
