The Pushkar Camel Fair in Rajasthan has once again drawn national attention with the exhibition of prized livestock worth several crores. Among the highlights is Shahbaz, a Marwari horse valued at Rs 15 crore, owned by Gary Gill from Chandigarh, who commands Rs 2 lakh per breeding session and has received offers up to Rs 9 crore but is not selling. Another standout is Anmol, a 1,500 kg buffalo valued at Rs 23 crore, known for his unique diet of milk mixed with ghee and dry fruits, enhancing his health and breeding value.
The fair, running from October 23 to November 7, has registered over 3,000 cattle and features other notable animals like Badal, a horse worth Rs 10 crore, and Rana, a buffalo valued at Rs 25 lakh. Celebrated for showcasing top breeds of camels, bulls, buffaloes, and horses, the event continues to attract traders, breeders, and tourists nationwide, reinforcing Pushkar’s status as one of India’s premier livestock fairs.
