The Punjab Tourism Department has announced the 10th Thal Desert Rally 2025, scheduled for November 6-9 across Kot Addu, Layyah, and Muzaffargarh. This 200-kilometre motorsport event, part of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s “Magnificent Punjab Vision,” combines competitive racing with a cultural festival celebrating South Punjab’s spiritual heritage, folk traditions, and desert lifestyle. The rally aims to boost socio-economic activity by providing opportunities for local artisans, musicians, and small businesses, while promoting a positive image of Pakistan internationally.

The event will feature around 100 drivers, including notable names and female participants, alongside cultural attractions such as folk music, camel and horse shows, tent pegging, craft bazaars, and fairs. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed with Discover Pakistan and PakWheels as official media partners to enhance coverage. The rally is expected to attract national and international attention, highlighting South Punjab’s tourism potential and generating lasting economic benefits for the region.
