Punjab Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Minister Gurmeet Singh Khuddian highlighted the state’s efforts to revive its rich heritage through events like the Punjab Equestrian Festival 2.0, held at Meadows, Palanpur. For the first time, a state-of-the-art equestrian ring was developed, and the Minister announced cash prizes of Rs 11,000 each for Malwai Gidha and Jindua performing artistes, emphasizing the promotion of cultural traditions alongside sporting events.
The festival’s Day 2 featured enthusiastic participation and outstanding performances across various competitions. In the Preliminary dressage (Open) event, Jyoti secured both first and third places, with Yuvraj and Keshav also placing. The Pole Bending events saw winners across three categories: Rajpal Singh, Loveinder Singh, and Suhirad took first place in GP1, GP2, and GP3 respectively, showcasing the competitive spirit and talent present at the festival.
