Prince Andrew Banned from Horse Riding Amid Ongoing Investigation and Public Backlash

Disgraced former Prince Andrew has been banned from horse riding on his Sandringham estate due to concerns about the negative public image it projects amid his ongoing police investigation. Royal aides reportedly advised against him being seen enjoying horseback riding, one of his few pleasures, especially after his arrest last week on suspicion of misconduct in public office related to allegedly sharing official visit secrets with the late Jeffrey Epstein during his tenure as a trade envoy from 2001 to 2011. Additionally, Andrew was stripped of his gun license less than two months ago.

Following his arrest on his 66th birthday, police have concluded searches at his former Royal Lodge residence, while the government is considering legislation to remove him from the royal line of succession—a move supported by Commonwealth countries including Australia and New Zealand. Currently residing at Wood Farm on the Sandringham estate, Andrew continues to deny all allegations of wrongdoing.
