After a large jump-off field of 14 clean riders, McGuane secured victory with a fast, fault-free round in 38.98 seconds, edging out competitors including Beat Mandli and Katie Dinan. This win, combined with his sixth-place finish in the previous week’s Grand Prix, earned him the Richard and Diana Feldman Perpetual Trophy for Excellence and $2,000 for the most prize money won across the two events.

Other notable winners included Rylynn Conway in the Kathy Scholl Equitation Classic, Victoria Birdsall in the $5,000 1.35m Jumper Stake, and Lisa Bertoline in the $5,000 1.25m Amateur Jumper Classic. Vanessa Hood claimed the $32,000 FEI 3 Speed Class on Cascalretto, highlighting the competitive spirit and quality of the newly renovated North Elba Showgrounds. The event showcased strong performances across multiple divisions, emphasizing Lake Placid’s status as a premier venue for equestrian sport.
