The American Hanoverian Society Foundation (AHSF) has awarded Petra Warlimont of Evergreen, CO, the 2025 Young dressage Horse Championship Grant to support her campaign with Deambulo PWD (“Dewey”), a 2019 Hanoverian gelding. Petra and Dewey notably won the U.S. 5-Year-Old Young Horse Championship at the 2024 U.S. dressage Festival of Champions and will aim to compete in the 6-Year-Old division in 2025 with the grant’s financial assistance covering expenses like transportation and entry fees.
Warlimont highlighted the strong bond and potential she shares with Dewey, emphasizing the importance of the Festival of Champions as a premier event for young horses to gain experience and recognition. The AHSF grant aims to support riders of Hanoverian and Rhineland horses in showcasing their talents nationally, with AHSF Scholarship Chair Nat Masin praising Petra and Dewey’s achievements as a testament to the breed’s quality and rider dedication.
