More than 300 Pennsylvania 4-H youth convened at the 2026 Pennsylvania 4-H State Leadership Conference in State College to develop leadership skills, participate in workshops, and honor state-level award winners. A key highlight was the unveiling of the new Pennsylvania 4-H State Council, a select group of youth leaders who will represent the program statewide, plan events, and serve as official spokespeople throughout their term.
The newly appointed State Council members come from diverse counties and bring varied experiences in agriculture, environmental science, STEM, and leadership. Each member shared how 4-H has helped them build confidence, communication, and leadership skills that will benefit them in future educational and career pursuits. Administered by Penn State Extension, Pennsylvania 4-H is a youth development program aimed at fostering capable, caring, and contributing citizens through hands-on learning opportunities.
