Pennsylvania 4-H Youth Leadership Conference Unveils New State Council Team

More than 300 Pennsylvania 4-H youth gathered at the 2026 Pennsylvania 4-H State Leadership Conference in State College to develop leadership skills, participate in workshops, and celebrate state-level award winners. A highlight of the event was the unveiling of the new Pennsylvania 4-H State Council, a select group of youth leaders from across the state who will serve as official spokespeople, plan events, and represent the program throughout the year.

The newly appointed State Council members come from diverse counties and bring a wide range of experiences in agriculture, leadership, STEM, and community service. Each member shared how 4-H has helped them build confidence, communication, and leadership skills that will benefit them in their future educational and career goals. Administered by Penn State Extension, 4-H is a youth development program aimed at fostering capable and caring citizens through hands-on learning opportunities.
