Pennsylvania 4-H Unveils New State Council Team at 2026 Leadership Conference

The 2026 Pennsylvania 4-H State Leadership Conference, held at the Penn Stater Hotel in State College, brought together over 300 youth to develop leadership skills through workshops and recognition of state award winners. A highlight of the event was the introduction of the new Pennsylvania 4-H State Council, a select group of young leaders from across the state who will serve as official youth representatives, plan events, and participate in statewide 4-H activities throughout the year.

The State Council members, ranging from high school seniors to college students, come from diverse backgrounds and 4-H project experiences such as animal science, environmental science, STEM, and agriculture. Each member shared how 4-H has helped them build confidence, communication, and leadership skills that will benefit their future educational and career goals. Administered by Penn State Extension, 4-H is a youth development program aimed at fostering capable and caring citizens through hands-on learning opportunities.
