A breeding right to Darley’s promising first-season sire Palace Pier was the top lot at Wednesday’s Tattersalls Online November Sale, fetching 100,000gns from Richard Knight and Salhia Stud. Palace Pier, based at Dalham Hall Stud, has made a strong start to his stallion career with eight black-type performers, including Group 2 Lowther Stakes winner Royal Fixation. Knight expressed enthusiasm about securing the breeding right, noting it aligns well with their broodmare plans.

The sale also set a new online record with a Zoustar filly consigned by Tweenhills selling for 86,000gns to James Tate Racing. Other highlights included the three-year-old gelding Velardo, sold for 62,000gns, and several broodmares from the Alne Park Dispersal, led by Get A Tonic at 25,000gns. Overall, the sale realized a turnover of 758,800gns from 92 lots, averaging 8,248gns, with the next online sale scheduled for December 10-11.
