Peggy Boyd is grieving after her paint horse, Clancy, was fatally shot in the head during the night in Nine Mile Falls, Washington. Clancy, whom Boyd considered her “heart horse,” was found injured but managed to partially make it home before succumbing to the wound. The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident, which is classified as first-degree animal cruelty under Washington State law, a Class C felony.
Boyd is seeking justice and hopes the shooter will come forward, expressing disbelief and heartbreak over the senseless act.
