Over 700 Youth Attend Boonville Oneida County Fair to Experience Agriculture and More

The Oneida County Youth Bureau brought over 700 children to the Boonville Oneida County Fair to expose them to the region’s strong agricultural heritage. Event Coordinator Susan Alger emphasized the importance of showcasing agriculture, including livestock like cows, goats, sheep, and pigs, along with new agricultural technologies. The fair also features competitive animal presentations judged by experts such as 4H Dairy Judge Cassie Menendez, who values the care and training given to the animals.

Beyond agriculture, the fair offers a wide variety of entertainment and food options. Longtime attendee Victoria Curry enjoys the horse performances, tractor pulls, and truck pulls, while Fair Promoter Carl Trainor highlights the carnival rides, games, and diverse food choices. The event culminates with two demolition derbies on Sunday, providing a full-scale amusement park experience for visitors of all ages. More information is available at BoonvilleFair.com.
