Osama Al-Nisf Urges Improvements to Support Kuwait’s Horse Breeding and Racing Industry

Osama Al-Nisf, a young and prominent horse owner in Kuwait, has highlighted several challenges facing the local horse breeding and racing community. He pointed out issues such as inadequate lighting on racetracks, which affects night races and early morning training sessions, as well as the need to renovate and modernize the main equestrian club facilities to better represent the sport’s growth in Kuwait.

Al-Nisf also raised concerns about the decline in prize money, which has caused financial strain for many owners due to the high costs of breeding and preparing horses. To promote sustainability and attract young talent, he urged for increased private-sector sponsorship and funding, similar to practices in leading equestrian nations.
