On Time Girl Dominates Forward Gal Stakes at Gulfstream Park

On Time Girl emerged as a standout 3-year-old filly with a decisive three-length victory in the Grade 3 Forward Gal Stakes at Gulfstream Park. Ridden by Irad Ortiz Jr., she rallied from fourth place to win the seven-furlong race in 1:24.59, marking her season and graded-stakes debut. The homebred filly, owned by Albaugh Family Stables and trained by Brad Cox, demonstrated strong closing ability despite some traffic trouble, holding off challengers Imperatrice and Sneaky Good to secure the win.

The Forward Gal, a key race on the road to the Kentucky Oaks, awarded qualifying points to the top five finishers and featured a competitive field including stakes winner Mythical. On Time Girl, by Not This Time out of the graded stakes-placed mare Girl Daddy, showed potential to stretch out in distance, with Cox considering the one-turn mile Davona Dale Stakes as her next target. This victory positions her as a filly to watch in upcoming Gulfstream stakes races leading to the Kentucky Oaks.
