Olympic Gold Medallist Ben Maher and Para-Dressage Rider Harriet Moore Set for European and Virtus Championships

Three-time Olympic showjumping gold medallist Ben Maher from Elsenham is set to compete for Great Britain at the FEI Jumping European Championships in A Coruna, Spain, from July 16 to 20. Maher, who won gold at the London 2012, Tokyo 2020, and Paris 2024 Games, will ride his 11-year-old stallion Point Break, supported by teammates Scott Brash, Jessica Mendoza, Matthew Sampson, and Donald Whitaker.

Meanwhile, para-dressage rider Harriet Moore from Bishop’s Stortford will make her debut at the Virtus World Para-dressage Championships in Hampshire from July 21 to 25. Moore, riding CTD King, joins a squad including fellow debutantes and experienced riders like Chris Bradley. This prestigious event for riders with intellectual impairments is part of Sport Excel UK’s performance pathway and will aid preparations for the Virtus Global Games 2027 in Egypt.
