Ohio Reopens Bridle Trails and APV Areas for Spring Outdoor Recreation

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) has reopened bridle trails and All-Purpose Vehicle (APV) areas for the spring season after winter closures. These seasonal closures help protect trail conditions and allow for maintenance and improvement projects during the wettest months. Bridle trails will remain open until late November, while APV areas will stay accessible until early December.

Notably, Maumee State Forest’s bridge trails and APV areas do not observe seasonal closures and remain open year-round. ODNR looks forward to welcoming visitors back for outdoor recreation as temperatures warm up.
