New York State 4-H Horse Program Hosts Successful Second Annual Horse Judging Clinic at Alfred University

The New York State 4-H Horse Program, in partnership with Alfred University, successfully hosted its second annual Horse Judging Clinic, drawing over 75 youth participants from across the state for an immersive educational experience. Alfred University provided horses, facilities, and support, while coaches led interactive sessions on industry standards, presentation skills, and horse evaluation. Participants engaged in live judging classes covering various disciplines, receiving expert feedback to enhance their decision-making and communication abilities.

This clinic aims to develop youth skills in horse evaluation, leadership, and teamwork, fostering confidence and growth in the equine sector. The program expressed gratitude to Alfred University and all contributors for their commitment to youth education, reinforcing the 4-H mission of promoting horsemanship and personal development through hands-on experiences.
