New England Antique Machinery Club Rally Returns to Armidale Showground with Vintage Engines and Heavy Horses

The New England Antique Machinery Club’s annual rally will be held at the Armidale Showground on 15 and 16 November, featuring vintage machinery, steam engines, heavy horses, and working displays that celebrate agricultural history. Attendees can enjoy demonstrations of historic farm equipment such as threshers, balers, chaff cutters, and a working sawmill, alongside static exhibits and a tractor tour. The Armidale Heavy Horse Group will also showcase draught horses performing traditional farm tasks like shearing sheep and shelling corn.

The event welcomes exhibitors and visitors interested in vintage farm machinery, tractors, vehicles, and household items, with food, drinks, and camping available on site. Operating under NHMA guidelines, the rally requires registration and public liability insurance for exhibitors. The showground will be open from 9am to 4pm on Saturday and until 2pm on Sunday, offering a family-friendly weekend celebrating rural heritage and machinery enthusiasts. For more information, contact the club via phone or email.
