The National Western Stock Show (NWSS) in Denver is expected to draw around 700,000 attendees over its 16-day run, generating an estimated $175 million economic impact for the city. NWSS President Wes Allison highlighted the event’s global reach, attracting visitors from all 50 states and 33 countries, while promoting Western culture and spirit. Local businesses, such as The Cow Lot hat shop and Black Shirt Brewing Company, benefit significantly from the influx of visitors, with The Cow Lot expecting to sell about 1,000 hats and Black Shirt Brewing experiencing large crowds, especially during concerts.
This annual event is a crucial boost for Denver’s economy, particularly during the slower winter season, providing increased business for venues in the RiNo district and beyond. The NWSS continues through January 25, offering a variety of activities that celebrate Western heritage and support local commerce.
