The National Western Stock Show in Denver, a long-standing tradition since 1906, recently concluded with a record-breaking attendance of over 750,000 visitors, surpassing the previous 2006 record of 726,000. The event, known as one of the largest horse shows and western trade shows in the country, features top-tier rodeo action, a world-class legacy building, and various entertainment options, solidifying its reputation as the “Super Bowl of livestock shows.” The mild weather this year contributed to the high turnout, according to Wes Allison, the show’s President and CEO.
The stock show’s mission focuses on strengthening American agriculture through education and enrichment programs related to livestock, farming, and western lifestyles, fostering community engagement and family traditions. Planning is already underway for the 2027 event, scheduled for January 9-24, continuing a generational legacy that celebrates Colorado’s agricultural heritage and western culture.
