The recent national dressage championships showcased impressive performances across multiple levels and tours. Highlights include Susan Tomlin and Dance Hit SW winning the River Park Farm CDN Grand Prix Freestyle, and Chelsea Callaghan concluding her partnership with Sisters II Etta J on a high note with a CDN Grand Prix Special win. Amelia Greening and Wisdom WDS were crowned VW dressage Pro Am Grand Prix Champions, while Angela Lloyd and Airthrey Roll X secured the Bates Medium Tour Open Championship. Other notable winners included Cooper Oborn in the Small Tour, Debbie Barke in the Advanced Open, and Madison Schollum in the Advanced Medium Open, each demonstrating consistent excellence in their respective divisions.
The championships also featured strong competition in the lower levels, with Catherine West taking the Bates Medium Open title and Caroline Houghton winning the Bates Elementary Open Championship with her young horse Regal Lord. Vanessa Way claimed the Bates Novice Open Championship, and Piper Crake dominated the Bates Preliminary Open Championship with a series of high-scoring rides. Reserve placings were hotly contested throughout, reflecting the depth of talent and promising future for dressage in the region.
